What do you think the Fox News "Love Doctor" actually meant to say? I am baffled.

I step into the elevator on the ground floor. This NY Times blog manages to confuse me in several ways with this clause:

On "The Colbert Report," Mr. Colbert will host David Gracer, an entomologist who believes humans eat bugs instead of meat and chicken [...]

At least one of my confusions would be cleared up if it turns out that there is a missing "should".

Today I was late for a presentation that I was giving. I was flustered and panicked as the computer wouldn't talk to the network and the printer wouldn't print and everything was going wrong. I'm currently searching through a parsed version of the British National Corpus, gathering data for a computational analysis. Among other things, I'm looking at verbs and the nouns that are their objects. For instance:
