We've been back a few days, but this is the first time I've had the time, energy and peace and quiet to write an update about our visit to York for my birthday.

I've had a few weeks of being really busy, and I'm set to be having a few more once half term is over, but this week has been quieter, so now seems a good time for a bit of an update.

Just in time for twelfth night, as the decorations were coming down, this weekend's Sunday lunch with the guys was followed by the distribution of our not-very-Secret Santa. So, in the end I completed and sent the third job application and ditched the fourth one. Now begins the waiting-and-seeing, with some positive outcome due either way: if I get an interview from any of the three, that's good; if I don't, that means I can dye my hair  the usual red again soon with a view to dyeing it pink for the first time in too ( Read more... )

Well, I appear to have got through my last full week in the job. Next week I only have three days to do (albeit on what looks set to be a horrible case, not due to the charges, but due to the 'defence' rep, who is a reknowned PITA), as I booked a couple of days of time off in lieu, and they tradtionally make people's rotas a bit lighter in the ( Read more... )
