So, in the end I completed and sent the third job application and ditched the fourth one. Now begins the waiting-and-seeing, with some positive outcome due either way: if I get an interview from any of the three, that's good; if I don't, that means I can dye my hair  the usual red again soon with a view to dyeing it pink for the first time in too

While I can't for the life of me remember exactly what it was, there was stuff about Iron Man that I found hard to follow, or probably completely nonsensical, too. I just ended up going with it and enjoying it for what it was (like most super hero films: over the top but enjoyable). I'm glad it wasn't just me who couldn't quite follow what was going on. I thought I was being slow of thinking and was blaming my feeling so ill for a large part of the film.
