Less than an hour till the new year here so I thought I might as well do a quick post. Summary of what's been going on:

And another two feet of snow came Tuesday night and all of Wednesday. Although it was nice to get another two days off work, I could do without all the shovelling out it takes. Add to that the plow that hit the post holding our mailboxes

Lots of snow here so no work, yay! It started at about 2:45 pm yesterday and is at almost 22 inches so far and still falling. I haven't seen this much snow at one time around here since 1996 so it's kind of exciting. No outside for me if I can help it; I plan to spend the day puttering around and, in all likelihood, doing very little.

Incomplete first chapter of an Inuyasha AU that's been sitting in my writing folder for almost a year now. Any feedback welcome; I'm currently trying to decide between continuing work on this or starting something new.

Again, away for a long time between posts. Part of it is the fact that I live a very boring life and the other part, for the last few months anyway, has been a lot of overtime at work. It's been a while, yet again. I'm still at the new job and settling in pretty well. The actual work isn't hard but there are about a thousand little details to learn. I'm getting there. As far as I know, there are about four things out of twenty that I'm still really unsure of, the rest I can muddle through with minimum help ( Read more... )

So I didn't post those chapters on Wednesday but I have a good excuse (and yes, I'll freely admit it's an excuse and not a reason). I got a call on Wednesday that the job I was hoping for is mine and I had to make several calls about paperwork and the drug test/physical I needed before I could start. At the beginning of September, I put an application in at a company. It's not my dream job but it's close to my house, not extremely hard work, I know someone who works there, and it's decently related to one of my interests.
