(no subject)
I hope everyone had a nice holiday season and a happy new year. Except for a family get together on Christmas Eve, I've been mostly hanging around home, enjoying the break from work.
On a cute note, my niece was over the other night, watching cartoons beside me while I was checking my friends page here on LJ. Now her favorite color is blue and she happened to notice a Sailor Mercury (live action version) icon that someone had. She asked who the blue girl was and I explained that she was a character from a show who fought bad guys with magic powers. She wanted to know how she did that so I went to Youtube and found some clips for her to watch.
Now she's running around playing Sailor Moon, fighting bad guys (my brother, her brother, a chair) and doing "nastics" (which is pretty much the PGSM version of fighting). She even acts out the transformation scene:
"Whoosh, blue hair!"
"Whoosh, blue skirt!"
"Whoosh, blue boots!"
"Now I use my magic wand to kick your butt!"
It's so adorable that I can hardly stand it. My sister just keeps saying "Why does she like it so much? She can't even understand it, it's in japanese!"
