(no subject)
Again, away for a long time between posts. Part of it is the fact that I live a very boring life and the other part, for the last few months anyway, has been a lot of overtime at work. We're putting in extra time during the weekdays and we've been working on Saturdays, too. Usually I come home and crash. I'm very much looking forward to a nice four day weekend for the holiday.
The good thing is the extra money is coming in handy for Christmas shopping. Just counting parents, siblings, their partners and offspring, I have 21 people to buy for this year. I did get an early start though (before Halloween, a new record for me) so I'm not doing too bad. At this rate, I could be done by the end of November.
Last night I did go to the movies with a friend. We wanted to see Paranormal Activity before it was out of theaters but we apparently just missed it. It was listed everywhere as still playing but when we got there, they'd pulled it to have four screens for New Moon (which still sold out before 7:00; I've never seen that theater so crowded). Our second choice was Men Who Stare at Goats which I actually liked a lot. It had some really funny moments and was just a good story. Not a bad Saturday night, even if I was exhausted by the time I got home.
Everyone around me is getting the flu, one by one, so I'm just waiting to be next. Hopefully it won't be too bad; I hate being sick.
