I am especially excited about the superwash wool and the merino/silk sock yarn. I hope they bring in more colours soon.

I think I'm in a slump. My mom has come to visit so I have to stop working on her present for the next week and thus I am lacking a nice mindless knitting project. All my other projects are lace and have charts. I need something mindless to knit while at the beach tomorrow. Any suggestions?

The new Knitty is up! It's the extremities issue so there are lots and lots of sock patterns!

So my Cool Hemp Ponchette is finally done. It was a fun knit but it was time consuming. It was my first time working with Debbie Bliss Cathay (cotton/silk/microfiber) which is an absolute delight. I don't have much time but here is what's new on the knitting front.
My trip to Seattle resulted in Koigu (purple and green) and Lorna's Laces wisteria (there are no good pictures of it online). I also got some Blue Sky Alpaca (50% Alpaca 50% Silk). One skein turned into a perfect mini Liesel for my granny. It is blocking as I type. All in all, it ( Read more... )

Rosemary and I did some dyeing yesterday. We had lots of fun, though it was tiring work too. I am thoroughly addicted to dyeing. I can't wait to learn how to spin so I can dye my own handspun.

So I bought the pattern to make this ponchette (I like the picture on Knit and Tonic better which is why I link to it) Thanks to my recent windfall I'd like to buy some yarn to knit it.
