Yarn help
So I bought the pattern to make this ponchette (I like the picture on Knit and Tonic better which is why I link to it) Thanks to my recent windfall I'd like to buy some yarn to knit it. The suggested yarn is bamboo and rather pricey so I was thinking that it might be nice in a cotton/silk blend. I am currently looking at Debbie Bliss Cathay and Cascade Pima Silk, both of which are on sale at WEBS. But they are both worsted weight and the suggested yarn is dk. I was thinking that maybe I could just knit the small size with worsted weight yarn. Does that make sense? Would a ponchette made of worsted be too heavy for summer? I am also considering Knitpicks Shine Sport although I am hesitant to order from them again so soon. I like to put at least a little time between knitpick orders.
