Dyeing!

May 09, 2006 17:04

Rosemary and I did some dyeing yesterday. We had lots of fun, though it was tiring work too. I am thoroughly addicted to dyeing. I can't wait to learn how to spin so I can dye my own handspun.

Rosemary's yarn is on the right and mine on the left.

This is called "Beautiful British Columbia". The blues and greens remind me of this province.

I call this one "Flames". I love the reds, yellows and oranges. I have it on the ball winder right now and it is looking stunning wound up.

I call this one "Clapotis Revisited" since the colours are so close to that of my Clap. It totally wasn't planned but I guess I have predictable tastes :P

This one is my favourite, called "Tulip Garden". I couldn't get it to lie properly on the scanner so I twisted it up. I played with different shades of blue, pink and yellow.

I also did a self-striping one but it is still in the process of being wound into a neat ball and looks a total mess right now. Expect more pictures of all my babies once I have custody of a digital camera.

P.S. Heather, Sam and Jane, please sign in. I posted something for you a little earlier.
