Harry Potter meme, day 16
well, i was at the theater today with spawn and we caught the DH2 trailer. again, i got a little teary eyed. but there were a couple of small snippets that make me eager to see the film. i'm hopeful that the movie is what the book could have been.

hmmm. how about one of each?
my favorite Marauder? that would be Remus. of the four of them, he's the one that most struck a chord with me. maybe it was the whole story of how he kept trying to go on and see the positive in the light of all the prejudice thrown his way? maybe it was the fact that he was such an unassuming individual. who knows? but Remus proved that he was a good friend to couple of men who weren't always the nicest of people. (Snape's worst memory, anyone?) and he proved that he was willing to do whatever he had to to protect the offspring of one of those friends. it was really nice to know that James and Sirius were normal people with a tendency to do bad things, that they were human, instead of the perfect people that Harry thought they'd been.
my favorite Death Eater? well, since i'm trying not to use the same answers all the time, i guess this is where i'll slap Lucius down. okay, so he's a brown nosing worm who looks out for his best interests, but that just goes to show that Lucius has a fairly sharp mind. maybe no common sense, but a sharp mind. always checking the odds and seeing where the wind is blowing. that's good old Lucius. and, to be honest, i've got a thing for men with long hair. (musicians tell you anything?) so Lucius kind of hit on that for me big time. oddly, it wasn't until the movies that i started to like him as much as i do. and it took some time.
and favorite OotP member? i think, here, i'm going to say Arthur Weasley. i've always loved his love of all things Muggle and how it always gets him in trouble (especially with Molly). despite all that, he's very dedicated to his cause and his family. he nearly gave his life to protect Harry (round about way, of course) and never personally blamed Harry for what happened that night in the Ministry. he seems like he would be the kind of father kids want to have, but then i'm weird like that.
