and what have we got on the go today? after doing this, i need to try and find brain cells. try and get something written. cos its been a few days and i think i'm going into withdrawals. you all know how i am.

a minor character? really, there isn't any such thing in her books as a minor character. because almost all of them turn up again at some point and she usually writes them in for a reason to begin with.
i suppose, if i really have to pick just one... and you'll probably laugh at this... The Monster Book of Monsters. you know, the book Hagrid wants the kids to use when he becomes the Care of Magical Creatures professor. i loved that book and the movie version was so killer. poor Neville was so abused by that book. and Hagrid saying, in exasperation. "You stroke the spine, of course!" i loved it.
i totally loved that book. while it might not be a real "minor character" or anything, its still my favorite minor character. because that book had a life and a presence all its own. if only more books were so enthusiastic! (maybe not carnivorous, but enthusiastic is good.)
