Last night akiko and I went to Panciuto in Hillsborough for our anniversary. We dressed up in our Victorian (well, mine's maybe a tad Edwardian and a tad period-schizophrenic, but whatever) costumes for the occasion. It was fun! The main roads are flattened now but there's still a lot of odd side-tracks and cut-throughs for sewer lines and such. So I was wandering around in the FFXII Ogir-Yensa Sandsea hunting a few rare monsters. On the way back to a save crystal I happened to be walking straight towards the desert sun. The pretty lens flare was nice, but what I really noticed was the way the fringes of Vaan's hair correctly forward-scattered the sunlight. Nifty ( Read more... )

Went out biking again to check out the new bulldozing-the-nearby-forest developments. They've been busy. A cut just a block away from my house now connects through the the huge development project area that lets out farther south on both 86 and Old 86.
