So according to gmaps pedometer, I biked approximately 15.5 miles this morning, including nearly 300 vertical change (most of it several times) - Hillsborough is hilly. No wonder I'm tired

Due to the aforementioned ridiculously nice weather, today was a day for biking adventures. Of course, leaving around noon and not getting back until 4pm may have been a bit much for my first outing of the season - I'm pretty much dead of dead now. But in terms of going new places and doing new things, this outing was a rollicking success

So I was out for a bike ride yesterday, and what's the first wildlife I come across other than a lot of Tiger Swallowtails and other butterflies? A blue mud-dauber wasp, exactly like the one Matt and Ian recently dealt with. No black widows around, but it was in the process of dragging off some other variety of large spider

I have many events and appointments in the next month or so, as well as quite a few scattered over the next year. Having never gotten around to adopting a decent digital calendar solution, I have leveraged cutting-edge ASCii technology to produce ( a list! )
Went to beach with COUP and other friends. It was lots of fun, but I am totally wiped out. This is partly due to a nasty shoulder sunburn brought about due to (a) spreading a new brand of sunblock too thin, and (b) thinking it would last through three hours of being hit by waves. Ah well
