I'm finally working days now; a run opened up back in like February in an area I'm actually familiar with that I signed up for. And I got it! Life Update!
Keep forgetting LJ is a thing. Ah well. Anyway, life update! Still working at my current company, but a few changes! No longer working the dock. They put me on a run that wouldn't give me time to work the dock. But not a big deal, the money I make doing this run makes up for the hourly wage lost. Life Update Spring Edition
I really do need to post here more often. Anyway, bit of an update on what's been going on with me! Last update I acquired a new roommate, found I need to be more careful with a forklift, have improved loading speed and skills, and moved from a run that shut down to another that pays slightly better. Not a lot to report, really. Home situation's not changed much, except I've got a new roommate. An interesting problem for some of my more technologically inclined friends! This is an issue that has been baffling me for months now. My parents have this netbook running Windows XP Home 2002 Service Pack 3 and it worked fine! Up until I packed away my router and moved. Awesome game idea!
So I've seen lots of video games that involve dragons and knights or warriors or what have you. And in pretty much every single game the dragon is either just a minor enemy, a major boss or the primary antagonist itself! This really isn't fair to the dragons! So I've come up with an idea. My house
This is what I hope to eventually be able to do for my future house. First of all, and most importantly, the land. I want it to be fairly sizeable, with a forest nearby or part of my property. So I've got a chance to move up in the company, and switch to a pickup/delivery position because apparently nobody above me in the linehaul area wants it. Problem is, I'm not sure I want it either. On the one hand it would have me working daytime hours again, which would be nice. I'd have my weekends free unless I picked up some extra weekend work ( Read more... ) -

It's now been 7.. well actually 8 full days of employment at R+L Carriers. So far so good! I only screwed up once (wasn't paying full attention and some freight wound up on the wrong trailer; I thought all the freight from my trailer was going on another, but apparently there was one skid that was supposed to stay at the service center I delivered ( Read more... )
