Ugh... rough month...
My mom did get back from Texas (eventually; 9 hour flight delay!), but the new job was TERRIBLE, and the tech they sent her kept fucking up in really odd ways, when it wasn't outright broken (yes, they sent her completely broken parts and expected her to get it working). Woot! Finished something!
Been plugging away on certain projects (mainly knitting), and finally finished some! :D The Dr Who stockings are done (DEFINITELY not perfect, but pretty decent for making them from scratch and having no clue about what I was doing; pattern was made up as I went). Whelp, little disappointing, but...
So, I was making quite a bit of progress and could possibly have hit the "good enough" point with my historical costume, but a few things came up these past two days and completely derailed those plans. So... Spring Break...
If I didn't have a crap-ton of things to work on at work (build 6 air tables, make a trophy for a physics competition, and finish a giant Newton's cradle, all within three days because I have plans for Thursday/Friday and will not be here!), I would totally take this week off and do nothing but work on stuff for CC35 ( Read more... )
