My little sister had her second baby today around Noon. Kalie Marie came into the world with a cute little head, dark hair (which she'll probably lose like big brother) and dark eyes. I made it through 12 days of the Mayo Clinic Diet. As of Monday I had lost zero pounds, but this week I've noticed that my clothes feel looser. Hopefully the scale will reflect that next Monday. Believe or not, I actually wrote a little bit over the weekend and I have my daughter to thank for it. She drew a wonderful picture for her cousin. It's a purple dragon surrounded by soccer balls because Jon's old soccer team was called The Dragons. So I wrote a poem called "The Dragon-Maker." Tree is an official fifth grader. We sweet-talked the new bus driver into picking her up from my in-laws' house, so that's one battle down. Next week the homework wars begin.
