The sun was shining all day. It was very cool in the morning (and I didn’t even bring a coat to work with me) and in the low to Mid 60’s for the rest of the afternoon. Today was the Med School’s Long Term Service Breakfast held at the  Child STudy  Center .  A fairly  large delegation from the office went.  It was a buffet of all breakfast stuff.  Muffins, doughnuts, bagels, etc.  THis was a big challenge for me as Courtney asked me to snap a picture of the buffet and show her what I was going to be facing.  SHe ( Read more... )

Today was a day for coffee lots of coffee unfortunately it was mostly decaf except for one late in the day. It was a cold, rainy day. It is going to be like this until later tonight. All the groceries I needed are bought and stowed. I just have to gas the car up on the way home tonight and then settle in. I will need to bring in all the mats and small items on the front porch so they won’t get buried or blown away. I have batteries, and I will charge my phone tonight before too long. Despite having the disappointing results from the bake sale yesterday I feel I have accomplished a good deal of work.  The mail was done early.  Still working on the refund checks to be mailed out.  I even cleaned out old emails and old memos (Guardian Angel even encouraged me to to do it).  So I can start fresh very soon ( Read more... )

Well the cheesecake was delivered and I waited anxiously for the bake sale to start.  I took it out of the freezer before I left around 7 and put it in the cooler carrier that I left in the car for the last 11 plus days.  It did the trick for what I needed.  I eventually got it to the drop off point and just as I was taking it out of the cooler the ( Read more... )

I was quite surprised at the volume of traffic by quarter of the hour this morning and then it hit me like a Mack truck. It is Columbus day Weekend!! People must have taken today off for the weekend.
