Yesterday was an Incredible Day.
The sun was shining all day. It was very cool in the morning (and I didn’t even bring a coat to work with me) and in the low to Mid 60’s for the rest of the afternoon. I had left windows open and I turned the heat down. It went up all by itself. I was highly annoyed but too tired to get that upset about. I turned it down for a few more hours until I got really cold.
Work saw the return of AC. She had to deal with the issues I had last week and by the time I left they were resolved. I feel I messed up (she didn’t-so she says) anyway it was resolved but I didn’t get any scanning done. She will have to catch up on the treasury. I explained to her and she understood I had to focus on the daily stuff. There seemed to be still a lot.
I spent the rest of the time doing today’s mail. Gargoyle wasn’t there. I didn’t receive Health Logic but I expect it will be there in the morning and I will speed through it to get to the scanning.
It would seem that many in the office are not very thrilled with the May ‘s edition of morale boosting sessions. “Memories of Mother pictures are to be shared. It is far too personal for some. It’s weird for me because I know they meant nothing by this. I have already told DK who is really (and understandably) having a hard time with it then you don’t participate in it) it goes for any of these things.
This week is the Union membership meeting where we will be electing/voting in the E-Board and officers. It looks like EV is returning to active duty and wants to be on the board. Of course I would vote for her. We will be covering this and other things coming up tomorrow at lunch.
I had a good appointment with Dr. Sonia. I got there on time (even with Waze-still doesn’t speak) but I didn’t get into the examining room until after 4. Did all the preliminary stuff (filling out papers, paying co pay, the triaging stuff). I am doing well and according their scale. I lost weight. Need to continue to take the baby aspirin, and the meds. Keep my feet raised tonight. Just have to get the bloodwork done. Will need to do that either tomorrow or sometime or soon. I know I brought papers home but I don’t remember bringing them in the house when I came home. I didn’t get out of there until after five and didn’t get home until it was far too late for the exercise class.
I did however bring home a rotisserie chicken and salad for dinner. It hurt my teeth now but I have enough for the week and tomorrow’s lunch.
The kitties were anxious to get fed and begin their evening exercises. They ran around the house a few times and then went back into the spare bedroom and then sat with me on the bed. I can’t be certain but I think they may have tried to get up on the mantle. A few things had fallen to the floor. Either that I am thinking it was a mouse. They are both sleeping at the foot of the bed.
There was a very sad and frightful event today in Toronto. A man ran several people down in that city killing a number of people and the driver/attacker ended up dead. I don’t think they are calling it a terrorist act but that’s what it was.
