After having lunch, we arrived very much in time for the English guided tour around the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
The weather was cloudy, but at least it didn't rain ^_^

After the rather not so pleasant visit to the Ueno Zoo we went to Asakusa. Usually most tourists go directly to Nakamise and Kaminari-mon from the station, but I went in the other direction, knowing what I'd see there.

Japan has a lot of things for sale, we can't get at home, which is why we went shopping there ^_~

We are back now in Tokyo after four days in Kansai.

Today it was wet, very wet, stormy, very stormy and "let's just try to get home".

We had planned to go to the Edo Tokyo Open Air museum this morning, but it kept raining quite a lot and we didn't feel that well already (though the Japanese medicine worked wonders! for me).

Our trip today was to Kamakura. We left the hotel around 7 AM and caught the train just in time. We were in Hase around 8:30 and from then on we visited lots of temples and shrines (and hiking trails ( Read more... )

I'm not a MAJOR AKB48 fan, but I thought visiting their new store in Harajuku might be a possibility to spend even more money fun.

The problem: You have to register for visiting the shop -.-;;
When I check the HP right now (store opens on July 30th) it looks as if you can only register via phone? Could somebody check THIS page and verify it for me ( Read more... )
