Alright, I know I've said it before, but I want to start using Livejournal on a regular basis again. I've set aside writing for too many years, and it's starting to show. Piece of the universe
So, kaigex and I nearly got clonked by a shooting star tonight. Okay, not really, but I've never seen one this close, and I've seen tons of meteor showers. It was a large flare, like a spark peeled from a firework. It appeared to be falling several blocks away, though it's hard to gauge distance with these kinds of things. Weekend, and a Kite Tale.
I had a good weekend. I went to a bar Friday night. Twas fun. On Saturday night I went on a walk in the rain. Movie fun.
I saw Pan's Labyrinth yesterday. It was pretty good. Some of the themes in the movie may not have been tied together ideally, but it was still well done. Also, maybe it's just me, but Saw was less disturbing on the blood/violence/gore scale. Maybe it's just because it felt much more personal in Pan's Labyrinth. Why?!
I just found out that someone I know had Transformer prototypes when they were a child. Cool, right? Well, I also just found out that said prototypes were thrown out at some point, presumably by his mom. Oh goodness. I feel like the world has lost the Hope Diamond of Transformers, or something!
