So, kaigex and I nearly got clonked by a shooting star tonight. Okay, not really, but I've never seen one this close, and I've seen tons of meteor showers. It was a large flare, like a spark peeled from a firework. It appeared to be falling several blocks away, though it's hard to gauge distance with these kinds of things. Lucky!

It's been cloudy for the last 3 days, so I haven't been able to see the splendor. I did catch 3 shooting stars earlier in the week, but I know the peak is coming up (Sunday, I believe) and I wanna seeeeeeeee.

This was large, like the size of a dime held at arm's length, and with a visible and orange tail until it flared out.

Yeah, I didn't think shooting star when I saw it. I thought something more like "Firework" or "Missile"!
