This winter has been pretty mild, as these things go. We've had some wild winters as of late, so this one hasn't been too bad. Considering we started off the season--day before my birthday--with 8" of snow, it did not bode well. But in this area, that was our worst snowfall to date. We'll take it. I'll start with the flowers first, since the frost really happened last weekend. It's gotten colder, though now we've come out of it; we had a few nights of semi-decent frost. We haven't had too many squirrels in our subdivision until recent years since our neighborhood was built from scratch and, consequently, didn't have too many trees, and what trees were there were planted when the houses were built.
