Ryuuji: Welcome, one and all, to the first ever themed edition of WART! Stephen and I are going to your hosts for tonight, and we've decided to make the show revolve around Potions and Evil Clowns -- or more specifically, the repelling and hunting down of Evil Clowns. First, before you do anything, get your shot glasses out and make some Evil Clown ( Read more... )

Can't you be revoltingly DRUNK in privacy so the rest of us don't have to tolerate it? If I didn't mind that sort of pathetic blathering I'd have stayed in the Ravenclaw dorms.

Hey Nny! *sounds genuinely enthused to talk to him* I don't think that we can get undrunk, though there's probably a Potion for that but we'd have to leave the room to mix it up and walking's going to be tricky, so you're kinda stuck with it just like we are.

But I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the show. Maybe you should host another one! The Pirate one you did was pretty cool.

...Oops. We forgot to take requests. Do you think that makes this a pirate show as well?

I asked this before, without an answer - are Evil Clowns a really big problem, here? I've never seen one.

I am not sure who evaded your question or why, Miss Yubari, but the answer is that Evil Clowns are a problem everywhere. We have had several apply already, and not all of them were squibbed; those who were squibbed managed to create varying degrees of unpleasantness during their Sortings.

It was Lupin-san, but I don't think he meant to. We started talking about our Devenisian devils instead.

And drinking is the best way of combating them? Surely that affects your co-ordination, when trying to fight?

Evil Clowns are awful! We keep having them apply, but thankfully, they usually get squibbed. But still, the stress and dangers of dealing with them in the Sorting Room? That's totally not cool at all.

Plus, we have the Joker in Bitchiwitch, and he's awful. Killed one of the students here, and tried to kill some of the others, and his makeup leaves a lot to be desired because seriously, he's got no sense of style at all.

*pause*

...Have we met? I think that I must have missed your Sorting. I'm Ryuuji Otogi, Slytherin Prefect.

*Barely controlling her laughter* Hey, Ryuuji! Thanks for the dedication, I think! I'm not that old! And it's Simon & Garfunkel, not the Beatles, but I can tell you're really drunk, so we'll let that one slide. *wink*

A Prefect meeting is a very good idea. Maybe when you've had a chance to sober up a bit and sleep off the hangover? Say, Saturday?

Sara! *clearly thrilled to hear from her!* Oh, you're not that old, definitely. I think that you're awesome. You founded the Dissection Club, and that was cool, and having dinner with you and Mai was fun too. I just thought that you might think it's funny. It is? Oops! Bad Ryuuji. No cookie! *laughs*

Tomorrow's Saturday, and that sounds great! I think that Bertie mentioned his Jeeves has a hangover cure or something. I probably ought to try that once the effects of all this alcohol kick me in the head. *laughs* Anytime in particular, gorgeous?

*no longer controlling her laughter* Yeah, it was funny! I enjoyed that dinner with you and Mai, too. We haven't had a dissection club meeting in a while, but we should do that again, soon. Especially since we've got a lot of new potential members. Don't worry about it! I think that movie was a bit before your time, anyway. Actually, it was a bit before mine, as well, but I have seen it. My parents were really into that kind of music.Okay, Saturday it is, then. I'll bet Jeeves' cure is great, but if not, we'll find you something in one of those Potions books. And I think a few students offered hangover cures as bribes on their applications. So, a time, hmmm. I'm not a morning person. Too many years of working the night shift made sure of that. And it'll probably be a pretty afternoon, so let's meet in a screened corner of the Great Hall, just after dinner. That okay with you, good lookin ( ... )

*joins her in laughing because laughing is always good* Yeah! We can recruit for it, and for the TLF! And I have to make posters about International Evening as well -- do you think that we should combine that with some sort of talent show to get people performing? That, and I don't watch enough movies. I'm more of a book person, really. And I can play you something else, if you like! There's lots of weird pop music here, but not much of my type of music, so it's a bit of a mix-and-grab situation at the moment.

...Really, students did? Wow! That must have been popular! I wish that I'd known that I was going to need them but I never thought that I'd be drinking like this. And I'm not a morning person either, because I'm an evening and night and eight hours of sleep person. And the Great Hall sounds great! ...Pun not intended, really. You'd need to get me much drunker to make me perform punnery. Nunnery. Bunnery.

Why is it called a baker's and not a bunnery, most beautous Sara? This English language is weird.

Hello!

Just curious, did you ever consider that the bright colors and flavors might, in fact, attract the Evil Clowns? You know, they do like bright colors the best.

Hi!

And no, that never occured to me! I know that they like bright colors best, but maybe that's why it keeps them away? Because the colors are all ours, and we're using their own weapons against them. Well, sorta. We don't have any whips. Whips are bad.

Evil Clown Repellent isn't bad. It's good. And it's working so far!

...And who are you? I'm Ryuuji!

*is slowly dying, because he is drunk and he is on the radio and therefore he cannot say anything*

*finds a piece of parchment and a quill, and writes a note to Ryuuji*

*the note says: Remember that conversation we had at Scarpetta's Sorting? This would be the person to whom I referred. Matters have since progressed. To broadcast that fact would be seriously problematic. Dear God, I do not even know to which one I am properly married.*

*squints at paper which is slightly blurring in front of him, decipers notes and writes reply. In Japanese. Realizes that's not right, balls up paper, throws it away, and tries again with the following message:

So she's an adultress or a mistress or is River the adultress or are you the only one committing adultry if you're not sure to whom you're married but you're sure that you ARE married?

And gives Stephen a quizzical look, eyes wide and curious as to the answer*
