Just in case the news articles are worrying anyone: Dragon and I are fine with regards to the flooding, so are our friends and family here in the area.  It's hotter than it should be this time of year, hence the iced tea glass, but we're fine.

We're in Boone, NC tonight.  The desk clerk was amazingly nice, the room's lovely and looks out over the mountains, and dinner was amazing and I don't just say that because we were starving.  If you come through, the Red Onion Cafe has wonderful, glorious food. (Including homemade cheesecake, made by the owner.  YUM.)

I am off on vacation.  That does not mean I should wake up snuffling/hacking/coughing and get worse as the day goes on.  Cold meds have been acquired, but my lovely respiratory steam is at home.  Damn it!

Honestly, I probably still will.  Apparently, I now have bronchitis.  Add in a couple other chunks of bad news the last two days and the not-so-minor detail that Dragon apparently dodged pneumonia by about 24 hours last week, and oh, yeah, this week should be fired.  (His blood work got back Monday, can you tell?)
