Blue Ridge Parkway
We're in Boone, NC tonight. The desk clerk was amazingly nice, the room's lovely and looks out over the mountains, and dinner was amazing and I don't just say that because we were starving. If you come through, the Red Onion Cafe has wonderful, glorious food. (Including homemade cheesecake, made by the owner. YUM.)
alysswolf says our house is okay from yesterday's storm, and she and her place are okay, both of which are good things since we were glancing at CNN this morning and saw our home city listed as hammered by weather with 45,000 without power. Second storm like that in 3 weeks. witch_in_winter , if you see this and you're okay, drop me a reply?
