The big event this afternoon was climbing over the O2 (formerly the Millennium Dome); it was a fun experience, very windy, but well worth doing. One of the men who works there said they run these in all weather, so it must get quite difficult up there at times.

I skipped out on the Skimmington Ride gig last night; I wasn't feeling 100%, and didn't want to be stressed out thinking of getting a table at a probably quite busy sit-down event ( Read more... )

This evening, Skimmington Ride are playing at a mini-festival nearby, so I'll head over there later today.

I'm not always good with strangers, but I'll see if I can tell when someone is a bit down, and see if I can cheer them up.

It's feeling like it will be a good weekend.

Spanish Festival pictures - taken after watching the race for life 5k. It was my first visit, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Once again, most of the "on this day" shots from around this weekend are muddly, and have the wrong date.

I was expecting a delivery this morning; it seemed to be running late, and then, around lunchtime, they texted me to claim I'd "not been in", despite the fact that they hadn't made any attempt to contact me, and that I'll have to collect it from the post office ( Read more... )
