I skipped out on the Skimmington Ride gig last night; I wasn't feeling 100%, and didn't want to be stressed out thinking of getting a table at a probably quite busy sit-down event ( Read more... )

So, I didn't complete the September Run Climbing Challenge on Strava (only managed 1,410m out of 2,000m of climbing); hopefully October's will go better.

Optimistic October is back.

I just had a short walk around the common near where I live, trying out a few paths that are "off the beaten track"; sometimes I found dead ends, but I'd spot a few things that were new, or which I'd overlooked ( Read more... )

Today, I'm working from home, but watching a gig by Bellzzz tonight in a local shop.

Hopefully the day will go fast; I'm going to stay optimistic that everything will go well tonight, but I'll be realistic optimist, particularly thinking of friends who are trying to come here by train, despite the strikes today.
