Hot Day
It's a special kind of hell out there on Gertrude street - I just walked a block to buy an icy pole and half way back what was left of my Frosty Fruit had melted down my hand and arm, spattered all over my '50s dress and the remnants were full of muck from the dust storm - oh, and I had to close my parasol before it blew inside out ( Read more... ) -
More on cultural change
So, I'm finished with the '50s and am immersing myself in the '60s, which I consider to be one of the two most interesting periods of the 20th century, for all the change that it brought (the other is the '20s).

Circa: now we are four!
Today marks four years since Circa opened. Happy birthday Circa! There were times when I really didn't think you'd make it this far - heck, in retail there are no certainties.

Deco party at the NGV
Last Thursday night's outing at the NGV was a great success - I got to dress Candice Bailey in 1930s glamourwear. And Glamour there was!
