Still seem to be terribly busy despite the book having had two launches and a nice big parade as well.

For those who came last Wednesday, and those who didn't but still like to see nice frocks - see Circa's blog for parade picsIt was a great night - Andrew McClelland was the best MC, he had everyone laughing, including the models (yes, they were ( Read more... )

Why can't more parades be like this?

The models are in a zen-like state from not breathing?

I didn't manage to see you/kiss you/hug you
Apology accepted.

I doubt there will ever be another like it in my life.

There's no sequel?

Also - I'm giving away a copy of Love Vintage book to someone who can correctly identify which dress was worn back to front?

What percentage of people do you reckon have a shot at this?
I need to get two copies of LV. Where do you get the largest cut?

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you about postage - I'm off to the post office tomorrow with a wrapped package to find out how much it will be.

re: the back to frontedness, that's a good point. To me, it's immediately obvious but then I guess not everyone spends their days dressing people.

No worries. :) I have 3 weeks. I have the publisher bookmarked. I just would prefer you to benefit more than them. And I have paypal now.

It is actually surprisingly hard to tell, particularly since we can't see both sides of them to see if there's something obvious like a zipper down the back of one that otherwise looks like it *might* be the wrong way around.

I'm going to vote for the 70's Missoni, although both the purple 60's lame number and the 70's Zhandra Rhodes look like they might be pretty much the same on the other side and therefore easier to get confused about:)

That 40's going away dress is *stunning*.

...what I need is a book that would inform me about vintage clothes, I wonder where I would find such a wonderful thing?
