Update

Today is a work-from-home day. I have my mentoring in the morning, and the afternoon is for doing my homework like a good little girly swot.

Today we're also getting the roof insulation installed - after rebate it's costing a bit over $500. Why didn't we do this years ago? I'm stunned by how (relatively) inexpensive it is, and how it's going to make us more responsible home owners and lower our heating costs. Should make the house cooler in summer too, although being double brick with high ceilings, it's already pretty good.

Shop has been busy: lots of new stock including some great 60s-70s mens suits. I doubt I'll ever have as many - or as many different colours - again. Had a meeting with the NGV yesterday to clarify what they're looking for. Circa is going to keep an eye out for special things as I'd love to have more in their collection.

On Gertrude street at the moment: the Gertrude Street Digital Media Festival. I've blogged about it on Circa's site. Fitzroyalty, a local blog have posted a short clip of what you might see (or what you won't see if you can't make it down of an evening before it finishes on Friday night).

I've also added RSS feeds for assorted blogs to LJ for easier reading:
fitzroyalty is a great Fitzroy blog.
bowerbirdblog is the blog for Joanna, who owns a Sydney online vintage clothing shop called Bowerbird Vintage.
superkawaiiblog is for Super Kawaii Mama who writes a glamourous Melbourne vintage fashion blog. SKM has just joined LJ too: superkawaiimama. I'm thrilled to be dressing SKM for tonight's opening of the deco exhibition at the NGV.
dorotheascloset is a blog by my favourite US vintage seller.
lady_melbourne is another Melbourne blog by a local vintage lover.

A couple of other great feeds:
under_melb talks about Melbourne locations, shops etc
vtgfashionguild Vintage Fashion Guild blog

Speaking of tonight's NGV opening, I'm so excited I have my hair in rollers! Must remember to take the camera and take lots of photos - this promises to be one of the most glamourous events of the year.
