Urbis to become football museum
Because football is under-represented in popular culture? In fairness, the Urbis Centre had moved on from being an interactive exploration and celebration of cities into a "sunday supplement", even according to its chief executive. Still, I thought it was pretty cool in its original incarnation in 2002. -

Went into town yesterday evening for Pete's birthday drinks. At the Windsor Castle, a charmingly old-fashioned and cosy wood-pannelled warren, marred only by a clientele of cool young people. We narrowly missed the prizes in the quiz last night, despite some great answers from everyone. We also encountered the first evidence (as opposed to occasional suspicions) of cheating we've seen. Dodgeball season re-started last night. We played Who Let The Dodge Out, and despite some great performances failed to neutralise the threat of "Snackman", their star player. I'm off tomorrow to spend Christmas with my family. Unlike previous years, though, I have a phone with mobile internet. So email etc will still get through.
