Been enjoying a blast from the past bit of retrogaming in my lunch breaks. Yippee!

Just had a book on globalisation sent free (and unsolicited) to our library by a think tank. Which is all fine and good.
But when I saw the letterhead on the covering letter, their logo caused me to think for a moment that rather than The Tomorrow Project, I was being written to by The Morrow Project...

Realised that I haven't posted much except links and memes lately.

Went to visit Rob and copperbird in Reading a week or two ago. Was going to involve gaming, but mostly we just nattered about stuff. Went out to lunch yesterday. Sunday Lunch Club was at the Earl of Lonsdale in Notting Hill. Vauxhallcrosser was there, and presented me with an awesome early Christmas present - his copy of B-17 Queen of the Skies, for use in multi-player sessions ( Read more... )

The British Library have announced the shortlist for their digitisation competition. Personally, I'd vote for the Exeter Book every time.

Went over to see WW and Bryony yesterday, and had lunch at the Red Lion. Also had a few pints of Honey DewCame home, logged onto City of Heroes and found myself in the middle of a random alien invasion. ( Read more... )
