Hi, everyone! Greetings from Canada! This is Annie Edison coming to you remotely from where it's really kind of cold, but where we're helping build homes and getting pampered.
It's kind of great.
And with me is a squirrel with a Mountie hat! I have no idea if he came with us or if he's one of our... Canadian squirrel brothers, but this may just be the cutest thing I've seen.
*chittering*
You're welcome. *pause* You were thanking me, right?
There's not much going on in town today.
Hermione was having one of those days where everything goes wrong, so it might not help to tell her that she probably didn't need to go to work today. Sorry. Also, um,
Acting Principal Madrox, she may be the only person left on island....
But now we have trip notes! Let's start with our really great
accommodations, where some people hung out in their
rooms, like
Peter was working on an essay and
Professor Skywalker was taking a bath... That feels kind of weird to say.
Bruce, Susan and Ramona took advantage of the spa, and
Rilla tried to chat up Natalie at the Abbey Restaurant, but Natalie was a little more fixated on Jims.
Kate was up really early reading in the lobby, and
Bart- hi, little brother!- worked on a snow fort outside. I'm sorry I missed that.
Today we got started on our project for
Habitat for Humanity, and there was a ton to do. People could work on the
framework, where
Kate told Bruce this is not what she thought a school vacation would be like, and
Tara told Ben she was maybe not cut out to be a carpenter after she hit herself with a hammer. Owwww, don't do that. I know, safe advice. There was also work on the
drywall, which might be harder than
painting but I was totally doing it longer,
Puck and Quinn. Just so we're all aware. The squirrels hear all.
Mercy got paint on Simon and checked on how
Hanna was enjoying the vacation.
There were some people who skipped actually working on things that matter, though, and decided to do
other things instead.
Cassel went shopping, and some people went to explore the town, like
Ben, who wanted to see the Weapons of Warfare, and
Ramona and Nathan, who found a pub.
Somehow unsurprising that someone from our school would do that on the first full day.
The fun continued at
night. Let's start at the
rooms where
Susan was still trying to figure out her hair, and
Tony and Ben convinced Topher to... get his
chest waxed. But the deal was they all had to do something, so... Wow, you are teenage boys. Besides all the boy waxing going on at the
spa,
Scary Cara opted for a massage. I bet she gets tense essay.
Hanna hung out by the fireplace, and some of us decided to head out and enjoy the
nightlife.
Bruce went on the haunted hike, and... Oh, look!
Sam went on a date with that dirty dirty skank Natalie! I hope they had a ton of fun. I really do. And-
*chittering*
...Oh my god I said that out loud. I'm really sorry about that, everybody. See, I... have... a rare form of Tourette's. It only acts up when I'm not feeling stressed, and since I'm really really relaxed right now, I guess I just say some things I don't mean.
Sock puppet!
See, where did that come from? I know, crazy, right? ANYWAY MOVING ON. Also, um, a tip. If you ask the staff where to go for some dancing, they might send you somewhere that has Latin Tuesdays, as
Rilla and I found out. Be specific.
That's all for me! Hope everyone enjoys their week! I will... be doing that. Right.

[I'm SO sorry.]
