Given that everyone seemed to be away this week, Hermione would have thought today might be an easy day at work. Except that every little thing possible seemed to be going wrong today. She woke up late, and only because Crookshanks was loudly destroying something in the kitchen, the shower didn't warm up till she was just about to get out of it, she got in to work a little late and found there was no coffee... So many little things had gone wrong today that she thought if one more thing happened she might snap or cry or beat her head against the desk, all of which were completely irrational but sounded pretty good.

So, you know, happy day at the law office!
