The morning program for Fandom was filled with an introductory look at the Habitat for Humanity housing project they'd be working on all week. Tara wasn't exactly strong, but there were some parts of the framework that were more about balancing things and hammering them together than sheer brute force. She thought she could do that.

A few minutes later, she was sitting on the sidelines and sucking on her thumb. Hammering worked better when you didn't smash your fingertips.

Tara took the thumb out of her mouth and carefully prodded at it with her index finger. Not broken, just a little smashed.
