i never thought the day would come when i said this, but:

i'm actually looking forward to going back to brandeis monday.

that's how bad my summer has been. that's how bored i already am at home alone.

this is why i ended up choosing brandeis--besides the campus itself, which blew me away, and the fact that it was the best school i got into...here's a few articles from a satirical newspaper called "the blowfish". actually, if you're really bored you can read all four of the articles, since they are fucking hilarious and a good way to waste time. yesterday morning, i walked into the kitchen to find my mother frowning down at a baking pan with a cooking utensil in hand. given that seeing my mother wield any sort of utensil associated with cooking is remarkable in itself, seeing this at 6:30 in the morning is even more stunning.
