This is a small experiment, a tentative toe in a genre I've never written before. When I was little, my dad used to play Red River Valley for me on the harmonica. And so we come to the end of Mystery. There were times I thought it would never be finished. Writer's block the size of Everest kept plaguing me, and I got so frustrated I wanted to give up. But couldn't. I'd invested too much time and sweat and love in the project.

I hope it's a satisfying conclusion. I think I'm pleased with it.

( I shall gather myself into myself again, I shall take my scattered selves and make them one. )
