So I gave my first real sermon yesterday (not including those two I gave for Youth Sunday at church all those years ago. yeah, they were decent, but I was thirteen). So...I find it's easy to talk to people about Jesus and my faith when everyone knows I'm the Chaplain Assistant and they kind of expect it. I can smile and say, "Jesus loves you", or when someone asks me how I am, respond with "The Lord blesses me every day", and they smile and accept it ( Read more... )

OK, quick update for those who don't know, I'm at Camp Spann, Masare Sharif, Afghanistan, the Chaplain Assistant for this camp and four FOBs, it's a pretty good time, I lead the music, mainly on piano, and besides the death of my grandpa and separation from my family during our time of loss, I've been keeping busy and generally enjoying life ( Read more... )

Well guys, I'm in Kuwait. It's not bad. I am right now what's known as a Fobbit. It means I sit in the FOB all day and do nothing. There's food joints, a gym, several hang-out areas with movies and video games and ping pong, and other good stuff like that.
