And the beat goes on

I'd like to thank the random stranger who commented on my last post from almost three years ago, and reminded me that LJ existed. It's been a long while since I did this. Let's see...

Got back safe from Afghanistan, went to work at Arch Aluminum and Glass, Jess got married, Eryn and I took over the Youth Group, Eryn got pregnant, did Dracula, became a father. Is it sad that my life over three years can be summed up in a sentence?

Now, working at Fort McPherson, GA, pushing towards my SGT promotion and trying to get orders to go to Fort Drum, NY. My little Alee is three weeks old yesterday, so I definitely want things to work out for her sake. It's great being a new dad, but it's also frustrating. I want to spend more time with her, but I'm at or on my way to or from work from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Then when I get home, I hold her for only a little bit, and she starts to scream cause she's hungry, and here's the weird part, I don't produce milk. Blah. Then when we're going to bed and she's fussing, I want to give Eryn a break and take Alee til she settles down, but I know that it could take hours, and that it's not safe for me to get up and drive to Atlanta and work all day after only a couple hours of sleep. Grrrr.....

I've heard it gets better. I certainly hope so. Thank God for weekends, so I actually get some time with my beautiful baby girl.
