The Past Couple of Days

1. Been watching episodes of Firefly. I like it, with a few reservations. Mainly, I just think these characters should be, like, a lot more rugged and weatherbeaten than they look.

We have come to the conclusion that the bannister will not be stained, but merely painted. The wood is too soft, too full of nicks, and too lacking in a decent grain for staining to make much sense. The MISFITs Trivia meeting went surprisingly quickly last night. We got done in three hours what took us two and a half meetings to do last year. Nothing terribly sadistic has been planned. Yet.
