Had last appointment with the orthopedics dept at Dartmouth re my perpetually broken right arm. The PA declared it "done" -- the X-rays make it clear it's really not healed, though. Looks like I'm spending the rest of my life disabled.

I'm up in Hanover, at the Courtyard Marriot, across from Dartmouth Medical Center (they gave us the corporate discount - yay! because I'm a patient).

I've been told to be at the surgical check-in at 6am.

Surgery should take, oh, 3-4 hours, so figure I'll be out of recovery and in a room maybe by noonish.

Went to Concord Orthopaedics today & spoke to a surgeon there about the MRI they did earlier this month. Guy clearly didn't know I hadn't been told the outcome of the MRI, the results, nothing. He was pretty, well, a hot-dog. But one likes that in some surgeons, so I didn't pay much nevermind to that at the time ( Read more... )
