Drive-by Post
Full day. Went to Day One of the Small Press Expo in Bethesda. It's a convention for indie comic creators. Spent a crapload of money on books. (I'll post a list tomorrow. Maybe.) tiny apple rant
I do not like iTunes 9. I wouldn't have it but I wanted to buy last night's season finale of Leverage and the program forced me to upgrade before I could complete the purchase. Nothing's where it used to be in the last few versions of iTunes. I'm getting old and curmudgeon-ly and I don't want to re-learn the whole darn interface just to download a ( Read more... ) -

First day at work after vacation went smoother than I thought it would. My week in geekery
Gadgets - Still loving my new iPod Touch. I'm learning more about what it can and can't do. The apps give the device a lot of functionality of course, like add-ons do for Firefox. However I wish I could add videos from iTunes. But that would probably clog the network and take forever, like trying to download anything over a dial-up connection.

thinking while random
I miss hearing Molly Wood on Buzz Out Loud regularly. I just can't take Natali Del Conte too seriously. Her voice sounds a bit too sex-kittenish. Plus, Molly gave good rants on tech issues like net neutrality, Apple bricking iPhones, and fair use of copyrighted materials.
Playing with this touchscreen is addictive! I keep looking for new apps ( Read more... )
