Fanfic & The Thick of It series 4
I'm working on two right now for The Thick of ItI was going great guns on one when the finale happened. Now I'm not sure what to do. Another Earthquake
I see my last entry was just over a year ago about a diddly earthquake so it seemed like a good time to update with a post about a real one. 5.9 magnitude at 1:51pm which was enough to send the entire area into something of a panic. W00T! One of my life's ambitions was realized this morning -- I felt an earthquake! 5:04am, 3.6 magnitude according to the U.S. Geologic Survey. If you are going to be in an earthquake, it's the kind to be in: no damage to people or property, and over in just a few seconds. If I've done my math right it has been 6 months since my last post. I can't say anything terribly exciting has happened in the meantime. When not doing things for which I get paid, I've mostly just been playing with my toys, painting heads, reading the internetz etc. A month or so ago I added a new toy site to the daily reading -- much more ( Read more... ) -

Wow, I really fell off on this. I'm up to The Nutmeg of Consolation O'Brian wise. I've also re-read Unnatural Death and I'm working on Homage to Catalonia. There might have been something else in there as well, but I'm not at home right now and I can't remember what other books I may have read since my last post.

Damn it took me forever to finish Treason's Harbour, but I wrapped it up last night and I've started The Far Side of the World. I have a memory like a sieve because I've read all of these at least twice and I still don't remember more than the most general happenings of each book.

I finally finished The Ionian Mission after leaving it to the side for a day or so. I immediately started reading Treason's Harbour since they follow one after the other. I'm currently, as in right this moment, looking up deed information for the fence dispute. I went to the Deed Recorder's office yesterday and enjoyed looking at the records ( Read more... ) -

Ok, I've had this journal for years and years now, but I've never posted anything. Now that I'm reading and commenting regularly on two or three other journals, I figure what the hell, why not put something up in case anyone clicks on my link to see what kind of awesome person could post such insightful and useful comments ( Read more... )
