my parents are on their way back to georgia now. it was a good long vacation. i think they very much enjoyed themselves. thursday we spent all day at the pima air and space museum, doing both the boneyard tour and walking around. my dad couldn't get enough of that. it's too bad it was 100+ degrees out, or we would have stayed longer, but as it ( Read more... ) -

just finished my first 16 hour work day. first and hopefully last. and now i have to unwind a little before going to sleep. my team lead told me when i got in at 8 that i was going to need to stay late. this really just means that i'm going to have off thursday and friday which is nice. and my parents come into town this weekend. so i'm also ( Read more... ) -

So I was supposed to move to a new program, but I engineered myself out of the job. They were going to need me for like 4 months, but after about 20 hours of work, I figured out that they could do everything they needed to with their current hardware and very minor changes to the software. Not a bad break. Coming up on the first holiday in 5 months. i get monday off for free, i get friday off because of hours, and i'm going to take personal time off thursday. so 5 day weekend here i come. don't know what i'm going to do just yet but i imagine there will be a cookout involved. hopefully it will reenergize me for work. next month i'll take time ( Read more... ) -

Finally got to do bday activities this weekend. Went to the Titan II missile museum which was pretty cool, but too short. it was right up my alley consider i design things very similar to it. even some of the stuff i do hasn't changed in 50 years. perhaps miniaturized tho. and then we went to the cereal boxx - a place that just sells cereal. So I bought an xbox 360 this weekend in anticipation for GTA4. My roommate already has one, but but we're both going to buy a copy of GTA4 because we want to play multiplayer. hopefully it lives up to the hype. and ratings. everyone votes it a perfect game. Why is it that all christians always assume that I am a christian? I've had a few (too many) christians come by my door and trying to sell me books and whatever about christianity. and they go on about how it will help me understand the bible and bring me closer to god.
