The airport site lost power today. And they sent everyone home. Except I work at the Rita Road site, so we did not get to go home. That sucked. But on the other hand, I got a lot accomplished. I had my day long six sigma training today. What a waste. However, I did get to chat with some cuties. I have to admit, I like talking to ladies. And really I think I can be pretty charming at times. Work has been going better and better. I got transferred into the department that I wanted to be in today. Now I have a good bit of leverage to stay doing the thing I like to do (logic design). i have to admit my state of mind is pretty good right now. being satisfied with my job is a very healthy feeling. having one to look forward to really lightens any stress that I have. I completed my first work task on Thursday and I feel great about it. Finally a job where I feel I can succeed. And it looks like I will be transferred over to the department that I want to be in. I worked from 6am until almost 5pm today. It did include a 30 minute lunch, but sheesh! And that was even without trying. so I have over 2 hours of flex time now.
