The cool weather persists! Yay! I did a little bit of yardwork by weeding (or would that be de-thorning?) out the prickly things growing in our crepe myrtle patch and pulling up the tree-like weeds that seem to prosper in the bushes at the front of the house. As much as I hate that particular chore, it does make things look nicer.

I think I may have figured out why my back has started hurting me again. It is the ergonomics of my Cell. Over the course of the last several months, I have been in meetings for a several hours each day rather than sitting at my desk. Not long after I posted last night, the power went off for the evening. I think it came back on around 3 am or so. I rather expected a full outage considering the massive storms that were still prowling our area. Earlier in the week, I came home and found that my garage door opener wasn't working. I could hear the motor running, but the door steadfastly refused to move. Since there are two doors, I took the alternate route. It turns out that ealdthryth had manually closed the door because her remote wasn't working correctly. We had a relaxing time on our anniversary. ealdthryth found a bed & breakfast she thought sounded neat. It is an old mill (well, the wheel is the only part of the old mill still left) in the mountains, and the owners have tried to make it eco-friendly. It is done. ealdthryth disconnected the cable converter box and will be taking it back to Charter today.
