My friends Charlie and Aleric bought me a Christmas present - a venetian mask.
It fits so perfectly that we have decided that I must have spent some of my miss-spent-youth modeling for venetian mask-makers..

Have just uploaded my book spreadsheet to Library Thing.  Good news? 937 of my books have ISBN numbers so have been able to batch upload them.  Bad news? Need to manually input over 700 more...

Today I met someone who is a Head of Technology for an engineering company.  He has just emailed me the full technical drawings of bank/ monument station, including the floor plans for each area, the interrelationship between the different platforms and the overlay of the underground station onto a map of ground level.  It is 29 pages of diagrams ( Read more... )

I decided a while ago that it would be good for me to deal with my caffeine addiction.  I've managed to go from at least 4 shots of espresso and a strong filter coffee per day to just one strong filter coffee in the morning (with an additional espresso if I'm working out).
