Dear people of Nevada,
I refuse to pronounce your state's name in the way you deem to be correct. I grew up on the east coast, hearing it as "Ne-vah-dah" (A as in "armada"), not "Ne-VA-duh" (A as in "panda") . The former is the way that I pronounce it, and to me it sounds right. Practically everyone on the east coast pronounces it that way. The other way reminds me of ( Read more... ) -

When I dislike someone, I tend to dislike everything I associate with them. This is especially true of old relationships. I just heard a song that one ex-boyfriend used to play for me (and sing along with, despite his tone-deafness) and I used to love the song. I made it out here last Thursday, but between running errands, intermittent wireless connections, super jet-lag and near-nervous breakdowns, I haven't gotten a chance to write about it in either my personal journal or online blog.
