It didn’t take long after my new-found energy to start overextending myself trying to be useful to everyone. Granted, it was all for good reasons - one friends mother died, so I’m helping design the program for the funeral. So, it's done. We woke up at God awful o'clock, drove to the Stanford clinic, and hours later (after a process that was fascinating to me but probably horrifying to others), it seems that they fixed it completely. The Christmas holiday went as good as I could've possibly hoped. Everyone loved their presents, the food came out pretty darn near perfect, we watched some classic movies and cuddled with the cats, and I didn't end up broke at the end of the week, so really I have no complaints. All my gifts are bought (or made), the co-worker ones handed out, and the groceries bought for our Christmas Eve dinner. My daughters birthday went well, our new washer is working great (and fits more clothes than the old one, which is also nice). Our week has been a rough one so far. Saturday, there was a horrible storm that knocked off a bunch of the boards on our front fence.
