i recently uncovered some old cds, and i've been reveling in nostalgia of The Smiths and old Billy Bragg albums.

i also recently made a card. it's been a little while since i played with paper, and i had fun.

i had a rather productive weekend, and a crazy week filled with various gatherings every day.

i watched man in the sand tonight. not that i need to be reminded, but i sure do love the mermaid avenue album. scubatoe_eimi  - thank you so much for giving me that album so many years ago. billy bragg is rather dreamy, too. but then again, i love socialist folksy types.

our prospects for finding tickets to the sold out show were looking pretty dismal at first, but the box office ended up selling more. despite the fact that this meant it was crowded, i'm glad we got in - it was a great show. the encore was a whole slew of songs from abby road: mean mr. mustard all the way through the enda girl standing next to us ( Read more... )

the radio was playing a classic john prine tune: "that flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore". i haven't heard it in years, and it's sadly quite appropriate now. but a great tune nonetheless. it would make for a great cover at kerrville or similar.

I  never liked the album cover for Out of Time. As part of my high school craze to appear different from everyone else on almost every level, I reversed it so the fruit, flowers, and crayon-rendered logo faced out.
